Polystyrene is a carcinogenic type of plastic. When degrading or when it is ingested by maritime organisms it exhibits its toxic potential. In nature it lasts up to 500,000 or 1 Million years until it has fully degraded. Costa Rica has banned import and sale of styrofoam by June 2019. Use of polystyrene as packaging is unnecessary. Yoghurt pots can f.i. also be made of non-poisonous polyethylene by the use of state of the art molding techniques. Costa Rica is a pioneer in environmental protection. It wants to reduce the use of plastics and plans to become the first climate neutral nation until 2021.
Styropor ist grundsätzlich krebserregend. Wenn es zerfällt oder von Meeresorganismen aufgenommen wird, dann entfaltet es sein toxisches Potential. Das kann in der Natur bis zu 500.000 bzw. einer Million Jahre dauern. Costa Rica hat jetzt im Juni 2019 den Import und Vertrieb von Styropor untersagt. Die Verwendung von Styropor ist eigentlich unnotwendig, da beispielsweise Joghurtbecher mit entsprechender Preßtechnik auch aus ungiftigem Polyethylen gefertigt werden können. Costa Rica ist Vorreiter in Sachen Umweltschutz, will Plastik reduzieren und bis 2021 die erste klimaneutrale Nation werden.

Most likely it will become v2.0 without any significant changes. If so we will not notify for the final release in addition. debcheckroot v2.0 works with current versions of Debian and has many interesting new features: direct comparison, generation of sha256 lists, checking of symbolic links, user, group and mode. No external programs like gunzip or tar are required any more. The full functionality is integrated. By sucessively generating sha256-lists you may also verify installations based on multiple DVDs. Direct comparison or sha256 comparison is more secure than just comparing the md5 like with v1.0 but it requires a full unzip of all installation packages. Additionally it causes some false positives where configuration files are unpacked and later on automatically changed via installation scripts. Unpacking takes place in memory only.

However the EU has still ceased to resolve for effective fishing quota (original petition in de). Unfortunately even fine food fish like 10 million codfish which are too small are simply discarded into the water because that does not amount to the quota.
