The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), a member organization of the UNO comparable to the IPCC, warns that a growing number of pollinators including bees and butterflies are driven towards extinction. This is a horrifying scenario as 90% of wild flowering plants and 75% of our world food crops depend at least in part on pollination, millions of livelihoods directly depending on them.
Intense agriculture, pesticides including neonicotinoid insecticides would put our bees and other pollinators at threat. Genetically modified crops are either more pesticide tolerant and/or they have sub-lethal, indirect effects on pollinators that are yet poorly understood; besides a reduction of weed.
There are many things which could be done: making use of sustainable agriculture like based on indigenous and local knowledge; giving habitates to pollinators; things like crop rotation and crop coproduction.

Global2000, the Austrian partner organization of Friends of Earth, has filed a lawsuit against Monsanto, BfR and the EFSA because of consequent and illegal manipulation of scientific studies: global2000, in German .

Certain evidence is given that the herbicide Glyphosate is carcinogenic and can cause harm to unborn children. In March 2015 the World Health Organization (WHO) has classified Glyphosate as likely carcinogenic for humans. These findings are supported by independent studies not funded by the industry.
Glyphosate, better known as RoundUp, is produced by Monsanto a combine which does also sell GMO (genetically manipulated organisms) made resitant against this herbicide, like f.i. genetically engineered soya or maize. While still the same teratogenic herbicide is used with plants certain kinds of 'superweed' have emerged which are resistant against Glyphosate so that more and more Glyphosate needs to be used. After the Vietnam War when conducting studies about whether Agent Orange was harmful or not Monsanto has simply exchanged some people from the samples of diseased veterans and the healthy in order to impede compensation for the veterans (Agent Orange was mainly made of Dioxin).
Ask the Federal Government of Germany to veto against Glyphosate! While the EFSA, the European Food Safety Authority, is warning the draft as laid out by the European Commission simply ignores the fatal consequences of Glyphosate for humans and the environment. The BUND, a German ecology group, asks you to take action and sign this petition.
The construction of two new Russian nuclear prototype reactors in Hungary can not be financed without massive state interventions. This even though costs about necessary means for security facilities and an intermediate store for radioactive waste are not included in the calculation. We can not guarantee that the 'budget variant' if in deed realized like this would deliver sufficient security.
Germany and France are planning to introduce an upper bound on cash transactions in the amount of 5,000€. That way the state would not only gain information about when money has been deposited or used but also about the exact intended use of the money. The purchase of a used car above 5,000€ or respective purchases of furniture or at the jeweler would then require a credit card (additional costs?!) or a bank transaction at least one day in advance of the purchase (if the salesman allows for it). In Europe and especially in Germany and Austria there is a well established culture of paying in cash while not all people do have a credit card.
Additionally there are plans to abolish the 500 Euro banknote. This kind of paper money is a.o. in use by travellers. A singleton 500 Euro banknote can be hidden easily. It can be very useful in dedicated cases: when everything else would be stolen or when all electronic means of payment become locked in the case of an ominous mistake (As it has already happened to the author of this web page because of an erroneous news about his alledged death.). When staying at a hotel 100 Euro can be used up fast while 500 Euro can provide for a fine time.
Officially it is all about fighting against terror and money laundry. Nonetheless there is the request of banks in the background which want to control the whole liquid assets of their customers. According to the former president of the constitutional court of Germany, Hans-Jürgen Papier such an upper bound would constitute an illegal infringement of freedom rights namely concerning contract-freeness and private autonomy. On the other hand it is not known how the terror militia Islamic State shall be forced to open up an online banking account.
