While it was worth to celebrate the EU´s ban on neonicotinoides earlier this year this achievement could become heavily undermined. Thanks to a loophole in EU regulations called ‘emergency authorisations’ many big farmers could be exempted from the ban. Call for our bees to be saved and for the loophole to be closed!

The giant chemical corporation of Bayer-Monsanto wants to introduce a new bee killing pesticide into the market. Flupyradifuron is a chemical out of the class of Butenolides and acts similar to the Neonicotinoides as nerval poison against insects. A growing number of pollinators including bees and butterflies are driven towards extinction due to a reckless pesticide policy. Albert Einstein has said once that when bees died out humankind would only have four more years to live.
