New photos from Burano, Murano and Venice. This year it is an ideal time for photography because only a few people visit the sites due to Corona. Unfortunately my camera has run out of battery in Venice so that I had to use my old mobile phone.

Mass hysterectomies are being systematically performed by a US government facility on women immigrants. At the Irwin County Detention Center in Georgia, a doctor referred to as the “uterus collector” removes immigrant women’s uteruses and fallopian tubes. We wonder how such a severe human rights violation can go unnoticed from the world´s public.

J. Assange had been deprived of his asylum status in the Ecuadorian embassy after WikiLeaks published photos, videos and privat talks from chief of state Lenin Moreno [1]. Wikileaks had published documents about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan revealing 15,000 casualties. Together with Bradley Edward Manning Julian Assange has made the „Collateral Murder“ video public where ten people, two Reuters journalists among them, were killed deliberately by US combat helicopter pilots.

London: Legal scholar Carey Shenkman is critical of the 1917 Espionage Act in general, given its overbreadth, how it has been used to punish dissidents in the past, and how it does not allow a “public interest” defense. “There has never been an indictment of a U.S. publisher under the law for publication of secrets,” let alone “an extraterritorial indictment of a non-U.S. publisher,” Shenkman noted. Shenkman also noted that because the U.S.-U.K. extradition treaty bars extradition for “political offenses,” extraditing Julian in this case would violate that treaty.
